COATING FAILURE

The concern shown may be the result of several factors:

  1.  Insufficient film build by the manufacturer or the part vendor.
  2.  Excessive buffing or polishing of the part.
  3.  Inferior coating materials used with lack of sufficient UV blockers in the resin system.

Correction of the concern may be accomplished by one of the following:

  1.  Replace with new part.
  2.  Cleaning of the part with a wax/grease remover, sanding, masking and re-spray painting of the part.
  3.  Use of the ValuGard ETR-II system.
