Odor Removal from Air Conditioning Systems

SUBJECT: VALUGARD ODOR TERMINATOR USE IN AUTOMOTIVE AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATER SYSTEMS

Certain vehicles exhibit odor problems due to the trapping of moisture in the dash portions containing the condensation tray of A/C system.

This provides mold, mildew and fungi with a breeding ground resulting in the foul smell. Additionally some heater and a/c systems trap cigarette and cigar smoke residue in these areas. The bacteria then feed off of the nicotine, mix with the mold etc. and create an even more odorous smell.

The following directions are for application of Odor Terminator to eliminate these odors.

NOTE: The cigarette/cigar smell will return if the vehicle is subjected to new cigarette/cigar smoke. Additionally, even though Odor Terminator has residual qualities, the re-introduction of moisture and bacteria to the heater and a/c system and condenser tray will eventually allow the mold, mildew and fungi, to start breeding once again.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE;

  1. Turn air conditioning selector switch to recirculate.
  2. Turn fan on to high position.
  3. Locate return air intake under passenger side of dash and/or base of windshield.
  4. Spray a medium spray pattern (pistol sprayers are adjustable by turning the end of the spray head) into the located intakes.
  5. When product starts to run out of the bottom intake opening, cease spraying.
  6. Wait 1 minute, respray as in step 5.
  7. Shut off heater/ac system, turn off fan.
  8. Allow the vehicle to sit unoperated for l5 to 30 minutes. Check for odor.

NOTE: You will smell a slight chlorine odor. If not, repeat application.
